Company History

In February of 1972 Central Volunteer Fire Department went into active duty. Under the direction of Fire Chief L. J. Robinson, 150 volunteers served 34 fire calls with the use of one pumper and one tanker.

In 1985 Central Fire Department was then allowed to have a paid fire chief and 3 firefighter/operators.  That was one man per shift at station 31.

With the hard work and dedication of many volunteers in the past, our wonderful community is now protected by an amazing group of  firefighters.  These men and women work  rotations of 24 hour shifts at 5 different stations every day of the year to be available when we need them.
