The Central Fire Department would like to announce the upcoming replacement of Fire Station 33 on Donnybrook Ave. Demolition of the current station will tentatively occur in late June, with the new station being rebuilt on the same site. The new station will face Greenwell Springs Rd. and is being built to accommodate a fire engine, rescue truck and boat, with future plans centered around replacing the rescue truck with a ladder truck. We would like to thank the staff at Domain Architecture for all the help with the design and we look forward to working with Capital Construction on the project.
While construction is ongoing, the Rescue truck will relocate to Station 32 on Monticello Blvd., while the Engine will relocate to a temporary location in the 18200 block of Greenwell Springs Rd., approximately 1 mile from the current location.
